Eddie Lai has a diverse range of work experience. Eddie started their career as a Customer Service Representative at HealthSmart in 2014. Prior to that, they worked at JP Morgan Chase as a Client Service Pre Fund Analyst in the Mortgage Banking department for three years. During their time there, they researched and analyzed thousands of HUD 1 Settlement documents, verified credit and closing documents, and consistently met or exceeded production goals.

Before their role at JP Morgan Chase, Eddie worked at HealthMarkets for over a decade. From 1994 to 2008, they served as a Claims Customer Service Medical Claims Specialist and Team Leader. In this position, they directed a Customer Service Team, improved team performance, and handled written and telephone inquiries regarding medical claims. Eddie also coded and input medical claims for payment in accordance with plan policies and procedures.

Eddie Lai obtained a Completion Certificate in Shipboard Security from the Global Maritime and Transportation School in 2007. Prior to that, from 2000 to 2003, they pursued an Associate's degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from Tarrant County College.
