Michael Collins

Michael Collins has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. Michael has worked as a Backend Engineer at HealthTap since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Caroo as a Backend Engineer from 2021 to 2022. At Caroo, they led projects and played a key role in developing various features, resulting in increased revenue for new client contracts. Michael also mentored and onboarded junior developers. Before Caroo, Michael worked at UC Irvine as a Web Developer from 2020 to 2020, where they took the lead on an asset management project and performed requirements engineering, system design, and implementation. In their earlier career, they worked as a Software Development Engineer at MatterHackers, Inc. from 2018 to 2019, and as a freelance Web Developer from 2016 to 2018. During their freelance work, they successfully completed projects for clients, including website overhauls, gaming community services, logistics management systems, and CMS application development.

Michael Collins has a diverse education history with a focus on computer science and informatics. From 2015 to 2021, they attended UC Irvine and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Informatics, specializing in Human-Computer Interaction. During this time, they also attended Udacity and completed courses in Full Stack Web Development, Front-end Development, and Data Structures and Algorithms in Python.

In 2018 and 2020, Collins attended Saddleback College and earned two Associate of Science degrees. Their first degree was in Web Design, followed by a degree in Applications Development from 2019 to 2021.

Currently, from 2021 to 2023, Collins is pursuing a Master of Science degree in Computer Science at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
