Neal Woodbury

Neal Woodbury has worked in a variety of roles in the academic and private sectors. From 1988 to 2011, they served as Vice President for Research and Chief Science and Technology Officer, Chief Science and Technology Officer, Professor, and Faculty at Arizona State University. Neal was also a Senior Advisor to the Executive Vice President for Strategic Projects and Director of the School of Molecular Science. In 2011, they co-founded HealthTell, a company based on a diagnostic technology called immunosignaturing, with Stephen Johnston and Bill Colson as CEO.

Neal Woodbury began their educational journey at the University of California, Davis, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry in 1979. Neal then continued their studies at the University of Washington, graduating with a Doctor of Philosophy in Biochemistry in 1986. Following this, they completed two postdoctoral fellowships, first at Carnegie Institute of Washington in Plant Molecular Biology (1986-1987) and then at Stanford University in Photosynthesis (1987-1988).
