Charlie Ranscombe

Charlie Ranscombe has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Charlie is the Co-Founder of H3D since March 2018. Prior to this, they worked at Swinburne University of Technology as a Senior Lecturer since January 2018 and as a Lecturer in Industrial Design from February 2013 to December 2017. Additionally, Charlie has been involved in freelancing and personal projects as a Designer since May 2009, which allowed him to explore their creativity through various textiles, graphics, and product designs. Charlie also worked at SSG ltd as the Lead Product Design and Development role from August 2010 to July 2012, where they successfully designed lighting products. Charlie's educational background includes a PhD in Product Styling and Branding research from the University of Bath, where they focused on identifying and comparing visual styles and trends in mass market product branding. Furthermore, they gained industry experience as a Production Assistant at BIME in 2008 and as an Industrial Designer during a summer internship at InnoValue design in China in 2007.

Charlie Ranscombe completed a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Product design engineering at the University of Bath from 2004 to 2008. Subsequently, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Product Design and Brand Strategy from the same university and graduated in 2012.
