Christian Garcia

Christian is a Managing Director at Breakthrough Energy Ventures, a multi-billion dollar venture capital fund focused on climate change. Christian has been a venture investor in climate and sustainability since 2008. Christian began his career in the aerospace industry before transitioning to investment banking and venture capital. He was previously an R&D engineer with Boeing Phantom Works, where he worked on next generation spacecraft development and Boeing’s Delta IV rocket program; and later served as Director of Strategy at Honeywell Aerospace. Christian holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering from MIT. He spends his free time with his family and young daughter, and is an avid, albeit novice, mountaineer, climber and alpinist.
