Carolyn Cyr

Director, Health Policy & Systems at Heart & Stroke

Carolyn Cyr is a seasoned health policy and systems leader with extensive experience in communicable disease management and public health. Currently serving as the Director of Health Policy & Systems at Heart & Stroke since September 2022, Carolyn previously held several key roles at Indigenous Services Canada from May 2016 to September 2022, including Manager of the Communicable Disease Unit and Acting Director of the Health Protection Division. Prior to that, Carolyn worked at Health Canada FNIHB-SK as a Regional eHealth Nurse Advisor and Communicable Disease Coordinator from February 2012 to May 2016. Additionally, Carolyn has experience in academia as a Nursing Instructor and Teaching Assistant at the University of Saskatchewan. Carolyn holds a Master of Public Health and degrees in Nursing and Physiology from the University of Saskatchewan.
