Deria Matthews

Deria Matthews is an accomplished project manager with extensive experience across various organizations. Currently serving as a Project Manager at Heart of America since October 2021, Deria previously held roles including Senior Project Manager and Creative Director at e-Ananse, Social Media Marketing Consultant at Netflix, and Lead Teacher at Octavia Project. Further experience includes faculty positions at Sadie Nash Leadership Project and Girls Leadership Institute, as well as curriculum development and coordination at NYC Alliance Against Sexual Assault. Deria initiated community-focused roles as Community School Director at Zone 126 and led educational initiatives as Staff Lead Teacher for Girls for Gender Equity, Inc. An NYU Gallatin graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Race and Public Policy, Deria also earned an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences from New York University.
