Teaching Artist at Heart of Los Angeles

Danila Cervantes is an experienced artist and educator currently serving as a Teaching Artist for the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs, Craft Contemporary, and Heart of Los Angeles since 2022. Additionally, Danila works as a Community Engagement Arts Assistant at the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art and has previously held roles including Teaching Artist at Media Arts Center San Diego and Admissions Portfolio Reviewer at the Rhode Island School of Design. A former Artist In Residence at The Helene Wurlitzer Foundation, Danila developed a personal short animated film. Danila's background includes experience as a Sculptor and Fabricator, contributing to fine art and custom furniture projects. Danila holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Film/Animation/Video from the Rhode Island School of Design.
