Associate Medical Director at Heart to Heart Hospice

Basil Younis, MD has a diverse work experience spanning several medical institutions. Basil is currently working as an Associate Medical Director at Heart to Heart Hospice since April 2021. Prior to this, Dr. Younis served as a Visiting Physician at Visiting Physician Association, starting in April 2010 and holding additional responsibilities of being a member of the Leadership Council and Board Member for the Accountable Care Organization. During this time, they also supervised Nurse Practitioners and held privileges at various hospitals and healthcare centers.

Dr. Younis then transitioned to Comfort Hospice, where they worked as a Medical Director from May 2012 to July 2021.

Before that, they founded Prompt Care Internal Medicine in April 2006, where they served as the Owner, Founder, and Visiting Physician until April 2010.

Dr. Younis also worked as a Group Practice Physician at East Texas Medical Center - First Physicians from May 2005 to May 2006 and as a Private Practice Physician at Borger Specialty Clinic from May 2000 to May 2005.

At Golden Plains Community Hospital, Dr. Younis took on various roles, including Chief of Medicine, Member of the Medical Executive Committee, and President of the Medical Society, all in 2004. Basil also served as a Member of the Medical Executive Committee and Chief of Medicine in 2002.

Earlier in their career, Dr. Younis worked as a Group Practice Physician at Winslow Health Care from August 1996 to April 2000 and as a Private Practice Physician at Kokomo Private Practice from May 1995 to June 1996.

Basil Younis, MD has a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Zagazig University Faculty of Medicine. Basil then completed their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree at Southwestern University Matias H. Aznar Memorial College of Medicine. Following this, Dr. Younis pursued a residency in Internal Medicine at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center, New York Medical College. In terms of additional certifications, they have obtained the Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Experienced Provider (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association, as well as the Advanced Trauma Life Support certification from the American College of Surgeons. Basil also holds the Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Dr. Younis has passed the Federation Licensing Examination and the Foreign Medical Graduates Examination in Medical Sciences administered by the respective institutions. Basil currently holds a Medical License in the State of Texas and has previously held licenses in the State of Indiana and the State of Tennessee, although those licenses are now expired.
