Baxter Roberson has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and industries. Baxter started their career as a Commercial Real Estate Analyst at Pollock Financial Group in 2008. In 2009, they worked as a Video Marketing Intern at MokaFive. From 2010 to 2013, they were a Senior Associate Consultant at Bain & Company, where they led successful team engagements across technology, biotechnology, and retail sectors.
In 2013, Baxter joined Wiser Solutions, Inc. as an Associate Manager of Analytics & Product Management. Baxter quickly moved up the ranks and became the Director of Marketing and Customer Success, helping the company grow from its founding stage to 60 employees and over $1 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR). Baxter led the creation of the company's website, brand, and messaging, as well as scaled marketing efforts on a lean budget.
Next, Baxter worked at Affirm, Inc. In 2018, they served as the Product Marketing/B2B Marketing Lead, launching the Affirm Split Pay (formerly AffirmGo) and contributing to revenue scaling to $15 million. Baxter then became the Head of Marketing Strategy (Product Marketing), leading a 7-person B2B Marketing team during a period of rapid company growth.
From 2019 to 2021, Baxter was the Director of Product Marketing at Housecall Pro. Baxter built the Product Marketing function and led website Product Management and Content teams, contributing to revenue growth from $22 million to $46 million ARR post-series C fundraising. Baxter successfully launched the upmarket expansion, leading to a 50% average selling price (ASP) lift.
Baxter's most recent role was as the Senior Director of Product Marketing at Recharge Payments. Baxter led a team of 6 Product Marketing Managers and contributed to over 50% revenue growth, reaching millions of dollars. Baxter played a key role in major company-wide initiatives, such as messaging refresh and pricing restructuring, which led to significant merchant activations and revenue growth. Baxter also launched a major acquisition and multiple new features/products with a significant impact on revenue.
Currently, Baxter holds the position of VP of Marketing at Hearth, starting in 2023.
Baxter Roberson has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a minor in English from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business. Additionally, they attended the University of Oxford as a visiting student for two terms, where they studied Management and Economics as well as English Language and Literature.
