Heartland Community College
Janet Hood was selected to fill a vacancy on the HCC Board of Trustees in 2017. She won election in 2019. Janet completed 4 hours of Leadership Training in 2017, 2019 and 2021. In 2017, she was appointed to the Finance Committee. Ms. Hood also served as a member of the HCC Presidential Search Committees in 2009-2010 and 2017-2018 and as President of the HCC Alumni Association 2012-2014.
Janet, a resident of Normal, retired in 2020 as Coordinator of Operations and Planning for Carle BroMenn Medical Center & Carle Eureka Hospital. She received an Associate Degree from Heartland Community College, Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Eureka College, Eureka, IL, and a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in Health Care Management from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, IN. She is a Fellow in the American College of Health Care Executives. Janet serves on several area and statewide boards.
