Jane Howard has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Jane began their career at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln as a Psychology Instructor from 1989 to 1995. Following that, Jane worked as an Analyst at Norwest Bank from 1995 to 1998 and then at First Data from 1998 to 2005. In 2005, they transitioned to Heartland Family Service as a Contract and Grant Coordinator, eventually progressing to Lead Contract and Grant Manager and then to Contract and Grant Director roles. Additionally, Jane has been a member of the Grant Professionals Association since 2007. Jane'sexperience includes grant-writing and management, supervising teams, and contributing to a Culture of Inclusion Council.

Jane Howard earned their Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Minor in Sociology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1989. Jane later obtained a Master of Arts in Psychology from the same university in 1992. In 2011-2012, they completed the ICAN Influence Program in Organizational Leadership. Prior to their university education, Jane attended Papillion-LaVista High School from 1982 to 1985. Additionally, they hold a certification as a Grant Professional Certified from the Grant Professionals Certification Institute.
