David Gonzalez

David Gonzalez, MA, LCPC has extensive work experience in the field of behavioral health and psychotherapy. David currently serves as the Director of Behavioral Health - MAT Clinic at Heartland Health Services- Central Illinois since June 2022. Previous to this, they worked as a Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychotherapist at LifeStance Health from October 2021 to November 2023.

In their career, David has held various roles including Resident Services Director at Sharon Healthcare from September 2020 to October 2021 and Behavioral Health Clinician at Unitypoint Health - Illinois Institute for Addiction Recovery from February 2018 to June 2020.

David has also worked as a Psychotherapist at Pilsen Wellness Center, Inc. from June 2016 to February 2018, and as a Community Integrated Living Arrangement (CILA) - Residential Counselor at AMITA Health - Alexian Brothers Center for Mental Health from July 2016 to January 2017.

Furthermore, David has experience as a Clinical Out-Patient Intern at AMITA Health - Alexian Brothers Center for Mental Health from July 2015 to May 2016, where they provided direct clinical treatment services to clients and facilitated group therapy sessions.

David Gonzalez, MA, LCPC completed their education at Roosevelt University, earning a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Clinical, Counseling and Applied Psychology from 2013 to 2016. Prior to this, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology at St. Ambrose University from 2008 to 2012.
