Alex Duke

Alex has extensive experience in corporate development functions in the healthcare services industry, as well as corporate finance in the auto insurance industry. Prior to joining Heartland Veterinary Partners, Alex worked for Surgery Partners (NSDQ: SGRY), a leading operator of surgical facilities with over 180 facilities operating in 32 states all in partnership with physicians. Alex was responsible for helping the business development team execute the company’s M&A growth strategy by facilitating majority investments in ambulatory surgery centers and physician-owned surgical hospitals. Before working at Surgery Partners, Alex worked at National Surgical Healthcare (“NSH”), an owner and operator of surgical facilities in partnership with physicians that, with Alex’s assistance, was ultimately sold to Surgery Partners in 2017. Before working at NSH, Alex worked in corporate finance for Allstate Insurance Company (NYSE: All). Alex graduated from the University of Illinois – Champaign with majors in Consumer Economics and Finance.
