Alan Petrie

Alan Petrie has a solid background in business intelligence and analytics. Alan started their career as a Business Intelligence Developer at City Building Glasgow in 2010 and then moved on to Heriot-Watt University and Gala Coral Group in similar roles. In 2012, they joined Scottish Water as a Business Intelligence Tech Lead and later transitioned to Fidelity Investments as a Business Intelligence Performance Architect in 2014. Continuing their career progression, Alan worked at Aberdeen Standard Investments as a Business Intelligence Architect from 2016 to 2019. Alan then served as the Finance Reporting Lead at Hackett Group / AstraZeneca from 2019 to 2020. Alan subsequently worked at The Qubix Group as an Analytics and Reporting Solution Architect from 2020 to 2021, followed by a role as a Fusion Analytics Architect at Deloitte Consulting from 2021 to 2022. Currently, they are the Head of Master Data Management and Insights at Heathrow.

Alan Petrie attended Edinburgh Napier University from 1992 to 1997, where they earned a BSc in Information Systems with a field of study in Computer Science. Prior to that, they attended Perth Academy from 1986 to 1992. Alan Petrie also holds several certifications from Oracle, including Oracle Cloud Fusion Analytics Warehouse 2023 Certified Implementation Specialist, Oracle Autonomous Database Cloud 2020 Certified Specialist, Oracle Cloud Platform Data Management 2020 Certified Specialist, Oracle Cloud Platform Enterprise Analytics 2020 Certified Specialist, and Oracle Database Cloud Service 2020 Certified Specialist.
