Nick Gabriel

Nick Gabriel is a seasoned environmental sustainability professional with extensive experience in leading and managing environmental initiatives. Currently serving as the Senior Environmental Sustainability Manager at Heathrow since August 2023, responsible for the Nature Strategy, TNFD, and waste reduction strategies. Prior to this role, Nick was the Environment Lead at Gatwick Airport from February 2019 to August 2023, overseeing environmental performance and compliance. As a Principal Consultant at Wood from July 2010 to February 2019, significant projects included environmental impact assessments for major developments, such as the Heathrow Expansion DCO. Nick's early career includes roles as a Senior Environmental Scientist and Environmental Scientist, with a foundational background in environmental affairs at Swire Properties. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Geography and Archaeology from the University of Sydney, a Graduate Diploma in Environmental Management from The University of Queensland, and a Certificate IV in Project Management from the Australian Institute of Management.
