Mark Pope

VP Technology at Heavy Iron Studios, Inc.

Mark Pope has a diverse work experience in the technology and gaming industry. Mark started their career in 1996 as a Programmer at Gremlin Interactive Ltd and then worked as a Programmer at AIT Ltd in 1999. From 2000 to 2002, they served as Lead Programmer at Rage Games. In 2003, they joined Heavy Iron Studios (THQ) as Studio Technical Director and held that position until 2013. During the same period, they also worked as a Faculty (part-time) at the Arts Institute of California. From 2013 to 2016, they served as Console Lead Programmer at Big Red Button Entertainment, Inc. Mark founded their own company, Robot 7 Media, in 2015 and served as Founder & CEO until 2018. Mark then joined Heavy Iron Studios, Inc. in 2016 as VP Technology, where they currently hold a position.

Mark Pope attended The University of Sheffield from 1993 to 1996, where they completed their B.Eng. Honours degree in Software Engineering.
