ShiYu Wang has a wealth of work experience, beginning in 2009 when they served as a Research Assistant at Fudan University in the Laboratory of Dr. Jinshui Yang. In 2013, they began their role as a Molecular and Cell Biology PhD candidate in the Rodal lab at Brandeis University. During this time, they initiated and led the project of membrane-binding protein Sorting Nexin 16 (SNX16) and participated in multiple projects that resulted in publications. Additionally, they served as a Teaching Assistant and Rotation student in both the Sengupta and Rosbash labs. In 2019, ShiYu Wang became a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Brandeis University and joined HebeCell Corp as the R&D Director and R&D Manager, followed by a role as a Scientist.
ShiYu Wang attended Fudan University from 2007 to 2011, where they obtained a BS in Biotechnology. ShiYu then attended Brandeis University from 2011 to 2013, where they obtained an M.S in Biotechnology. Finally, they attended Brandeis University from 2013 to 2018, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology. In addition, ShiYu Wang obtained a certification in International Leadership and Organizational Behavior from Coursera in April 2018.
