Nina Dawson, EIT, is an Environmental Engineer with diverse experience in environmental management and remediation. Currently employed at Hecla Mining Company since July 2022, Nina updated the Corporate Environmental Management System in compliance with ISO 14001:2015, impacting four operating sites with a total of 1,650 employees. Previously, Nina worked at Stantec from November 2019 to June 2022, where responsibilities included authoring EPA Brownfield Grant assessments and performing various environmental fieldwork. Earlier experience includes a role as a Field Engineer at CME Associates, Inc., where Nina conducted special inspections and ensured compliance with technical standards. Additional positions include a Research Aide at the Great Lakes Research Consortium and a Research Fellow at Colorado State University, focusing on environmental research and data collection. Nina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Resources Engineering from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry.
