Alex Axentiev is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in international trading and currency management. Currently serving as the Managing Director and founder of HedgeFlows since June 2020, Alex focuses on helping businesses navigate foreign currency trading and financial complexities. Prior to this role, Alex held prominent positions at Standard Chartered Bank from February 2014 to March 2020, including Global Head of FX Options and Chair of the Best Execution Governance Committee. In addition, Alex contributed to the Financial Markets Standards Board and served as a Board Member for the Global FX Division. Alex's earlier career includes founding Paspartu Travel, and significant roles at BofA Merrill Lynch, where responsibilities encompassed managing local currency trading desks and risk management for complex portfolios. Alex's educational background includes an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and degrees from ESSEC Business School and Rīgas Tehniskā universitāte.
