Rasmus Hansen

Director Global Procurement at Hedin Mobility Group

Rasmus Hansen has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Rasmus is currently working as the Director of Global Procurement at Hedin Mobility Group since 2022.

Prior to this, Rasmus held various roles at IKEA, starting in 1998 as the Country Manager in Ghana for Stock City Ltd. From 2002 to 2005, they served as the Regional Manager for Africa at Hans Andersson Paper AB, where they later became the CEO from 2005 to 2008.

Joining IKEA Group in 2008, Rasmus took on the role of Global Category Leader for Layerglued furniture, responsible for developing long-term purchasing strategies and implementing mid-term plans. Rasmus also served as the Business Development Manager in the Flatline Asia division from 2011 to 2014, overseeing furniture sourcing operations. Lastly, from 2014 to 2017, Rasmus worked as the Purchasing Category Manager at IKEA Group.

Throughout their time at IKEA, Rasmus has showcased their skills in category management and global sourcing, specifically excelling in the Foiled furniture products category, where they managed a team of 80 people in 7 locations worldwide, handling an annual purchase value of approximately 3.5 billion EUR.

With their extensive experience and expertise in procurement and supply chain management, Rasmus Hansen brings valuable leadership and strategic insight to their current role at Hedin Mobility Group.

Rasmus Hansen obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the School of Business, Economics, and Law at Göteborgs University during the period from 1999 to 2002. Prior to that, they attended the University of Gothenburg and studied Law from 1995 to 1997.
