Dereck Frolich

Dereck Frolich is an experienced marine engineer with a robust background in managing technical operations onboard various vessels. Currently, as First Engineer at Heerema Marine Contractors since April 2022, Dereck oversees the repairs, maintenance, and planning of deck and engine room machinery, including main propulsion systems and dynamic positioning systems. Previously held similar roles with Jan De Nul Group and A.P. Moller - Maersk, where Dereck also demonstrated leadership in ensuring operational efficiency. Earlier experience includes positions at P&O Nedlloyd and Atlas Professionals, focusing on maintenance and cargo operations. Dereck holds a Bachelor of Maritime Operations from HZ University of Applied Sciences and a degree from Noorderpoortcollege Zeevartschool Abel Tasman in Maritime Studies.
