Ramon de Haas

Ramon de Haas has extensive work experience in the engineering and marine contracting industry. Ramon currently holds the position of CTO & CHRO at Heerema Marine Contractors, a role they began in 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Managing Director of Heerema Engineering Solutions from 2019 to 2022, where they focused on creating innovative solutions for the renewable energy sector. Ramon also served as the Chief Technology Officer at Pipeline Technique from 2016 to 2019. Ramon gained experience as the General Manager at Heerema Marine Contractors' London office from 2012 to 2016, where they managed various projects involving heavy lift and subsea/pipelay operations. Before that, they worked as the Group Engineering Manager at STG Sea Trucks Group from 2011 to 2012. Ramon's career at Heerema Marine Contractors began in 2005, where they held roles as the Riser Engineering & Delivery Manager and the Pipeline Production Coordinator.

Ramon de Haas completed their high school education at Emmaus College, earning a VWO Diploma from 1984 to 1990. Ramon then pursued further education at Delft University of Technology, specializing in Offshore Engineering and obtaining an MSc degree between 1990 and 1996.
