Thorsten Weires

Thorsten Weires is an experienced project management professional with a focus on health informatics and digital radiology. Currently serving as Team Lead - Project Management and PACS Project Manager at Heidelberg Engineering since November 2014, Thorsten coordinates ophthalmology PACS projects, manages presales activities, and analyzes workflows and system requirements. Prior roles include Head of Project Management at CHILI - Digital Radiology GmbH, where responsibilities involved overseeing teleradiology projects and user training, and Project Manager focusing on PACS project coordination. Thorsten's earlier experience includes positions as a Research Assistant in Health Informatics at Karolinska Institutet and Technical Product Manager at InterComponentWare AG, among others. Thorsten holds a PMP certification from the Project Management Institute and degrees in Medical Informatics and Commercial Computing from Heidelberg University and Dundalk Institute of Technology, respectively.
