Sara Spiering

Sara Spiering is a Managing Partner of the Americas for the Industrial Practice and a Partner in the Global Board and CEO Practice at Heidrick & Struggles, a position held since December 2009. With over 15 years of experience, Sara specializes in searches for Non-Executive Directors, Executive Chairmen, and board succession planning. Additionally, Sara serves on the Board of Directors for the American Red Cross of Illinois and was a Founding Member of Chief, a network for women leaders in the C-Suite, from August 2020 to August 2021. Earlier experience includes serving as an Attorney in Employment Litigation at DeWitt Ross & Stevens from 2005 to 2009. Educational qualifications include a B.S. in Journalism from Northwestern University and a J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School.
