J. Ryan Cummings

J. Ryan Cummings is an experienced ecologist with a diverse background in environmental management and consulting, currently serving as an Ecologist at Heidt Design since November 2022. Previous roles include Aquatics Manager at Horner Environmental Professionals, Inc. and Project Manager at Air Quality Environmental, where responsibilities involved asbestos inspections and compliance with regulatory standards. Cummings has also held significant positions at NorthStar Contracting Group, Inc. as Senior Scientist, providing support in natural resource service development and client engagement. At Florida Design Consultants, significant work involved guiding large-scale community developers through environmental permitting processes related to master planned urban developments. Early career experiences included environmental management with Hillsborough County and coordination during the BP Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill as a Task Force Leader for the National Park Service.
