Debanjana Bhattacharya

Debanjana Bhattacharya is a seasoned professional in monitoring, evaluation, and learning, currently serving as a Senior Program Officer at Heifer International since April 2023. In this role, Debanjana has taken the lead on the MEL strategy and framework for significant projects such as the Odisha Socio Economic Development project and the Hatching Hope Initiative, while also managing a data capture software rollout. Previously, Debanjana worked with The Antara Foundation, leading program design and implementation and excelling in government data management. Key achievements include successfully rolling out a data collection tool for key health initiatives across multiple districts and introducing innovative data collection methods to enhance service quality assessments. Earlier experiences include consulting roles at India Health Action Trust, where quantitative and qualitative research skills were applied to various public health studies, and serving as a Field Development Officer at HCL Foundation. Debanjana holds an M.A. in Sociology from Banaras Hindu University.
