Ramesh Singh is an international development practitioner, currently working as a freelance consultant and volunteer.
Ramesh Singh is from Nepal but in the recent decades he has lived in and worked from different parts of Africa, Asia, Europe and USA.
Ramesh started his professional career as a high school teacher in Nepal and later worked as an agronomist/seed technologist. After that he has worked internationally in various country, regional and international roles related to development, human rights and environment with Greenpeace, Open Society Foundations and ActionAid.
He received his academic education at Tribhuvan University in Nepal and Edinburg University in the UK and did his trainings and fellowships at IDS Sussex, Harvard Kennedy School, Cambridge, Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, Syracuse University and INSEAD, Fontainebleau.
Ramesh takes interest in and has depth of experience and expertise in the areas related to food, and agriculture; INGO governance, strategy and management; accountability/integrity systems; sustainability; human rights based programming and south-south networking and influencing.
