Maik Jäkel

Maik Jäkel is an accomplished IT leader with extensive experience in eCommerce and software development. Currently serving as Gesamtleiter IT at HEIM & HAUS since June 2025, Jäkel oversees the entire IT department for the group. Previously, as Director Engineering eCommerce at Lampenwelt GmbH, Jäkel managed the software development and operations of 28 online shops from January 2023 to May 2025. From January 2016 to December 2022, Jäkel held the position of Director E-Commerce Development at Shop Apotheke, leading a large team of over 120 developers and ensuring the 24/7 availability and security of online shops across several countries. Jäkel's career began at Provinzial Konzern as a Software Engineer from August 2009 to December 2015. Jäkel holds a Master of Science in Practical Computer Science from FernUniversität in Hagen and a Bachelor of Science in Business Information Systems from FOM University of Applied Sciences.
