Noah Mcqueen

Noah Mcqueen is the Head of Research & Process Engineering at Heirloom. Noah has also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Pennsylvania, Out in Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (oSTEM), and Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Noah was also a Bioreactor Scale-Up and Development Intern at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc.

Noah Mcqueen has a wealth of experience in research and process engineering. Noah has conducted research into the development of and process intensification for a novel land-based enhanced weathering process using magnesium oxide (MgO) and/or calcium oxide (CaO), including novel methodologies to enhance carbonation rates. Noah has also done techno-economic analysis and life cycle assessment of carbon capture and negative emissions systems, specifically direct air capture and carbon mineralization. In addition, they have experience in carbon mineralization process development and optimization utilizing natural and industrial alkalinity sources.

Noah Mcqueen is also experienced in leadership and education, having served as a Leadership and Education Member at Large for Out in Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (oSTEM).

Noah Mcqueen is a chemical engineer who has a PhD from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor's degree from the Colorado School of Mines. Noah also has a certification from the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies in Engineer In Training (EIT).

Noah Mcqueen reports to Shashank Samala, CEO. They work with Max Scholten - Head of Commercialization, Mireille Ghoussoub - Senior Process Engineer, and Andy Dubel - Head of Engineering.
