Giani Statie

Giani Statie has a diverse work experience in the field of Machine Learning. Giani is currently working as a Machine Learning Software Engineer at HEITS.digital, where they are responsible for developing backend infrastructure and integrating NLP models for essay processing and grading. Giani is also involved in consulting and developing internal ML testing environment for pose estimation using images and video streams.

Before joining HEITS.digital, Giani worked at Bosch Romania as a Machine Learning Software Engineer. Giani'srole included developing frameworks for parallelizing neural network inference and training data selection, as well as developing tools for visualizing and labeling data for applications such as classification, detection, and segmentation using images and video streams.

Prior to that, Giani gained experience at Porsche Engineering, where they worked as a Machine Learning Software Engineer and AI Working Student. In this role, they were involved in various machine learning projects. At Recognos, Giani worked as a Summer Intern and successfully prototyped a 4-wheeled robot capable of avoiding obstacles and detecting object surfaces using Python and Tensorflow.

Giani Statie began their education in 2014 at the Technical University of Cluj Napoca, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Automation and Applied Informatics. Giani completed their studies in 2018, obtaining an Engineer's degree from the same institution. Giani then went on to further their education by pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence at the Technical University of Cluj Napoca, starting in 2020 and completing it in 2021. Additionally, Giani Statie obtained an Engineer certification from the Technical University in June 2018.
