Michael Kowatschew

Michael Kowatschew is a co-founder of Heizma, focusing on making Austrian homes climate-neutral by transitioning from fossil fuel heating systems to heat pumps. As a member and president of the Sigma Squared Society, Michael empowers young founders worldwide. Michael co-founded morgen ventures to invest in promising startups, and serves as a scout investor for Sequoia Capital. Additionally, Michael partners with Forming Impact to organize events for impact-driven leaders. Previous roles include co-founding The Pixel Beat, founding Europe's first automated contact tracing app with NOVID20, and leading the online social media platform friendzone. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from WU Vienna, a BBA from Esade, and completed the Ashoka Visionary Program.
