Jonas Mårtensson's work experience includes a variety of roles in different companies. Jonas started their career at Volvo Trucks as a Project Coordinator in Marketing from September 2007 to January 2008, where they worked on product launch projects and conducted segmentation studies. Jonas then became a Project Manager from April 2008 to April 2009, responsible for developing incentives and organizing knowledge competitions for the launch of new trucks in different regions. After that, they worked as a Marketing Communications Coordinator from June 2009 to August 2009, where they analyzed marketing communication channels and proposed efficient communication strategies.

In 2009, Jonas co-founded Nimbell, a company that develops and markets light-duty electric utility vehicles. Jonas served as the CEO of Nimbell from August 2009 to April 2016, overseeing the business operations and leading the team.

From October 2013 to May 2016, they worked at National Electric Vehicle Sweden AB (Nevs) as a Marketing Manager and Business Developer. Their responsibilities included market strategy, business model development, distribution, pricing, and brand management for Saab cars with electric motors and combustion engines.

In June 2016, Jonas joined Volvo Cars as the Corporate Strategy & Business Development Director. Jonas was involved in developing the corporate strategy, driving internal consulting projects, and recruiting and developing management talent. Jonas also served as the Head of Strategy for Care by Volvo from May 2019 to June 2020, responsible for the retail transformation and developing strategies for new market entries and products.

In June 2020, Jonas took on the role of Head of Strategy Deployment & Transformation for the Car Service business at Volvo Cars, where they led a team of senior strategists in formulating and implementing strategies for after-sales services, sustainability, and business model shifts.

Aside from their roles at Volvo, Jonas also had other engagements. From August 2010 onwards, they ran their own firm called Novagora AB, offering management consulting, venture creation, and start-up investments. Jonas worked on various projects such as brand platform development for a distillery and process and organizational development for an offshore company.

Their other experiences include serving as a Board Member for ReVibe Energy, an IoT company focusing on energy harvesting and sensors, and as the Chairman and co-founder of Tingteller AB.

Most recently, Jonas joined Albert AB in June 2022 as the Chief Operating Officer. In this role, they are part of the Group management and responsible for the consumer business, aiming to provide personalized education journeys for children in Europe.

Jonas Mårtensson began their education in 2000 at Hvitfeldtska Gymnasiet, where they pursued a degree in Nature Science with a focus on the Mathematics section and German. Jonas completed their studies in 2003. From 2003 to 2004, Jonas attended Central Texas College, where they explored various subjects such as English, Economics, Management, and Psychology through their General Studies program.

In 2004, Jonas enrolled at Chalmers University of Technology, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Industrial Engineering and Management. Jonas continued their education at Chalmers University of Technology from 2008 to 2010 and earned a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Industrial Engineering and Management.

Additionally, Jonas participated in two separate summer programs in 2007. Jonas attended Stanford University for a program in Management and the University of California, Berkeley for a summer program focused on High Tech Management.

Overall, Jonas Mårtensson has garnered a diverse educational background with degrees in Industrial Engineering and Management as well as diverse academic experiences in various fields of study.
