David Reid has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. David began their career as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Queen's University in 1997, where they developed a method to improve the remediation of pesticide-contaminated soil. As a Member Technical Staff at USG from 2004 to 2005, they played a dual role as a product development scientist and engineer, conducting product trials, improving quality control, and authoring recommendations for raw material selection and product formulation. David then pursued their Ph.D. at the University of Central Florida from 2006 to 2012 as a Ph.D. Candidate. In 2012, David founded Helicon Chemical Company and served as the CEO, responsible for overseeing company operations. Currently, they hold the position of Founder and Chief Technology Officer at Helicon Chemical Company.
David Reid has a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Chemistry from Queen's University, which they obtained from 1998 to 2002. David later pursued a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Central Florida from 2006 to 2012.
