Robert Schapiro possesses extensive experience in both aviation and emergency medical services. Currently serving as the MEDEVAC Company Commander for the DC Army National Guard, Robert oversees a 45-soldier, 4-aircraft unit. Concurrently, Robert operates as a Charter Pilot for OpenAir, transporting medical teams and organs. Previous roles include being a Helicopter News Pilot for various news stations, a volunteer paramedic with Calvert Advanced Life Support and the SAVAGE VOLUNTEER FIRE COMPANY INC, and an Operations Officer in a MEDEVAC Company within the United States Army Reserve. Additional experience includes roles as a Systems Analyst at AMTIS, Inc., and First Officer positions at PSA Airlines and Silver Airways. Robert earned a Bachelor of Science in Emergency Health Services and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
