Alex Akins is an experienced aviation professional with a career spanning over a decade in various pilot roles and safety management. Currently serving as the Manager of Safety and Security and Line Pilot at HeliFlite since March 2021, Alex also contributes as the Secretary on the Board of Directors for the Eastern Region Helicopter Council Inc since September 2022. Previous experiences include working as a Line Pilot at Analar Corporation from April 2014 to March 2021 and as a Helicopter Tour and Charter Pilot at New York Helicopter Charter Inc from July 2013 to September 2014. Earlier in the career, Alex was a Flight Instructor at Nassau Helicopters from February 2012 to July 2013. Alex Akins holds a Bachelor of Aeronautical Science degree in Aviation Safety and Helicopter Operations from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, attained in 2009.
