Susan Mockus

Susan Mockus is currently a Board Member at Heligenics, and was previously the Director of Corporate Strategy & Business Development at Precision Biomarker Laboratories (PBL) at Cedars-Sinai from October 2020 to August 2021. At PBL, Susan was responsible for developing and executing the corporate business strategy to grow and maintain Precision Biomarker Laboratories (PBL) relationships with new and existing clients, collaborating with corporate partners to deploy product and service offerings that address the specific needs of PBL’s clients, and establishing and leading PBL’s business development processes. Prior to joining Cedars-Sinai, Susan was the Director of Product Innovation & Strategic Commercialization at The Jackson Laboratory from October 2019 to October 2020, and the Associate Director of Clinical Genomic Market Development from August 2017 to October 2019. Susan’s experience in developing and executing corporate strategies in the precision health space make their an invaluable asset to Heligenics.

Susan Mockus earned their MBA in Business Administration and Management with a Healthcare Track from Yale University - Yale School of Management. Susan then completed a postdoc in Pharmacology at the University of Washington. Susan Mockus earned their PhD in Neuroscience and Pharmacology from Wake Forest University. Susan began their educational career with a BS in Biotechnology from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Susan Mockus is certified by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) and licensed as ASCP License 3607.
