Lewis Liu has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. In 2011, they started their career as a Research Associate at the University of Cambridge. Lewis then joined Plessey as a Business Development Manager from 2012 to 2015. In 2014, Lewis took on multiple roles at the UK Tsinghua Association, serving as Secretary General, Deputy President, and Advisor. From 2015 to 2016, they founded and served as CEO of Camlogue. In 2016, Lewis worked as a Management Consultant for IP Group portfolio companies. The same year, they became the Managing Director of Greater China at IP Group plc and also held a position as a Non-Executive Director at Helio Display Materials. In 2018, Lewis served as a Non-Executive Director at Bramble Energy Limited. In 2021, they became a Managing Partner at IPG-CEL China Ventures, a joint venture focusing on cross-border deeptech investment. In 2022, Lewis joined Kiko Ventures as a Venture Partner.
Lewis Liu attended the University of Cambridge from 2007 to 2011, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Materials Science. Prior to this, from 2003 to 2007, they completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Materials Science & Engineering at Tsinghua University. In 2005, they also earned an International Fellowship in Physics from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. In 2017, Lewis attended London Business School for Executive Education, although the field of study for this program is not specified.
