Burke Foley

Burke Foley has a diverse work experience in the field of business intelligence and research. Burke started working at the Institute for Transportation Research and Education in 2010 as a Research Assistant, where they contributed GIS skills to various research projects. In 2012, they became a Research Associate and GIS and BI Technologist, responsible for developing a decision management analytics platform for multiple clients. Burke also served as a co-Principal Investigator on multiple projects and developed key performance metrics and dashboards for NC State Highway Patrol Motor Carrier Enforcement. In 2018, Burke joined HelioCampus as a Senior Product Engineer, and later became a Principal Business Intelligence Engineer, working on business intelligence projects. Currently, they hold the position of Director Business Intelligence at HelioCampus.

Burke Foley completed a Master's degree in GIS Technology from North Carolina State University from 2009 to 2011. Prior to that, from 2003 to 2008, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Management and Policy from the University of North Carolina Asheville. In addition to their educational background, Burke Foley has acquired several certifications in Tableau software, including Tableau Certified Associate Consultant, Tableau Analyst, Tableau Designer, Tableau Server Administrator, and Tableau Server Architect. These certifications were all obtained in February and April of 2021 from Tableau Software.
