Sotirios Nedios

Sotirios Nedios is an expert in the field of medical devices currently working at the European Commission since August 2020. Concurrently, Sotirios serves as a PD/Assistant Professor of Cardiac Electrophysiology at Herzzentrum Leipzig GmbH since 2018. Previous experience includes a Clinical and Research Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital affiliated with Harvard University from 2017 to 2018, and extensive training through residency and cardiology fellowship at Leipzig University from 2011 to 2017. Research fellowships were completed at Charité and Deutsches Herzzentrum Berlin from 2008 to 2011. Sotirios holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Electrophysiology from Maastricht University and multiple advanced degrees including a Global Clinical Scholars Research Training Program from Harvard Medical School. Additionally, Sotirios is certified by the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners as a Certified Cardiac Device Specialist and Certified Electrophysiology Specialist.
