Akua Doreen Akonor

Akua Doreen Akonor (M.A. Fellow CIPD) is an accomplished business leader with extensive experience in human resources and organizational development. Currently serving as part of the ExCo Group in People Organisation & Development at Helios Towers since April 2022, Akua also holds the position of Board Member and Chair of the People and Remuneration Committee at St Christopher's Fellowship since April 2019. Previous roles include Independent Non-Executive at Simply Business, Senior HR Executive/Advisor at Värde Partners, and Chief People Officer at WiZink, overseeing substantial organizational transformations. Additional experience encompasses HR Directorship with LeapFrog Investments and a senior HRBP role at Vodafone, where leadership in diversity and inclusion was notably emphasized. Akua's educational background includes advanced degrees from Harvard Business School, Henley Business School, IMD, and Middlesex University, along with a BSc in Social Policy & Administration with Theology from the University of Surrey.
