Michael Haralabidis has had extensive work experience in the financial sector. Michael started their career as a Financial & Banking Analyst at Ionian & Popular Bank of Greece. Michael later moved on to the Bank of Greece as an Economic Analyst in the Money & Banking Department. After that, they worked at the European Investment Bank and the European Investment Fund as Chairman and Member of the Audit Committee and Audit Board, respectively. Michael then joined the National Bank of Greece, where they held positions such as Senior Advisor-Group Risk Management and Deputy Director-Group Risk Management. Michael later joined Piraeus Bank as Group Chief Risk Officer. Currently, they are working at the Hellenic Financial Stability Fund as Chief Risk Officer and is an Independent member of the Supervisory Board at ICAP CRIF. Throughout their career, Michael has been involved in various aspects of risk management, regulatory policy, and corporate governance.
Michael Haralabidis attended Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon from 1983 to 1988, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Economics. Following this, they pursued further education at the University of Wales from 1991 to 1992, where they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in International Economics, Banking & Finance.
