Emmanouil Damanakis

Emmanouil (Manos) Damanakis has extensive work experience in the Hellenic Navy. Emmanouil (Manos) has held various roles and responsibilities over the years. Starting in 2008, they served as the Head of the Damage Control Division, where they were responsible for fire and flooding monitoring systems, compliance with international regulations, and training personnel on fire and leak response procedures. From 2010 to 2011, they served as the Deputy Officer of the Electrical, Mechanical, Damage Control, and Auxiliary Division, overseeing scheduling, task completion, and recommending changes during a dry-docking project. From 2012 to 2015, they served as the Deputy Chief Engineer and Head of the Damage Control Division. Since then, they have held multiple roles, including Chief Engineer, Deputy Officer of the Programming Office, and Deputy Officer of the Dry Docking Department. In these positions, they have managed projects involving repairs, replacements, inspections, and maintenance of various ship components and equipment. Emmanouil (Manos) has also been responsible for ensuring the safety of personnel and ships during tasks involving fire and other hazards.

Emmanouil (Manos) Damanakis has a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Hellenic Naval Academy, obtained in 2008. Emmanouil (Manos) also holds a Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, completed in 2018. In 2015, they earned a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Structural Dynamics and Vibrations from the Naval Postgraduate School. In 2016, they obtained an Academic Certificate in Total Ship Systems Engineering (TSSE) from the Naval Postgraduate School. Currently, they are pursuing further education at the Hellenic Naval War College, with emphasis on an unspecified field of study.
