Kate Mellor

VP, Payer Strategy at Alma

Kate Mellor is the current Vice President of Payer Strategy at Alma. Kate has over twenty years of experience in the healthcare industry, with a focus on client strategy and innovation.

Kate began their career in healthcare as an Account Manager at MHNet / Integra, where they coordinated Employee Assistance Plans (EAP) with other client benefit plans. Kate then moved to Aetna, where they held the position of Client Solutions Director for twelve years. In this role, Kate was responsible for growth and strategy development for a team of account executives and account managers, as well as managing direct client relationships.

In 2015, Kate joined UnitedHealth Group as Vice President of Optum Behavioral Health Client Strategy. In this role, Kate led client strategy and innovation initiatives for employer and payer clients, developing and deploying data-driven solutions to address clients' goals and challenges. Kate remained in this role until 2021, when they assumed their current position at Alma.

Kate Mellor has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Health Care Administration from La Salle University.

Kate Mellor reports to Harry Ritter, Founder & CEO. They work with Elisabeth Morray - VP, Clinical Operations, Chiddy Onyia - General Counsel, and Nick Thuesen - CTO.
