Clayton Wood

Clayton Wood is the current CEO at Picnic and was previously the COO/Board Director at IUNU from January 2015 to December 2018. IUNU is an award-winning technology company serving the indoor agriculture market (indoor growing + commercial greenhouses). IUNU combines computer vision, continuous monitoring, and artificial intelligence to provide growers with unmatched insights and productivity tools--on their phone or tablet from anywhere. IUNU's patented, proprietary technology is poised to disrupt the indoor agriculture market with a highly effective new approach to managing indoor agriculture.

From January 2014 to December 2015, Clayton Wood was the Interim COO at Planetary Power Inc., a high profile startup focused on distributed energy generation transitioning from R&D phase to production and revenue via scaled manufacturing. Clayton worked directly with the CEO and Board of Directors to focus on the initial target market, deepen functional expertise to reduce risk, and drive operational planning and execution. Clayton consolidated multi-state operations, prepared strategic and marketing plans, and assisted with fund-raising and production preparation.

Clayton Wood has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University, an MBA from the University of Washington's Executive MBA Program, and is certified as a Six Sigma Black Belt from AlliedSignal. Clayton is also a Licensed General Contractor from the Oregon Construction Contractor's Board and a Registered Professional Engineer from the New Mexico Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.
