Fred Schwanwede serves as Of Counsel at Helmer, Conley & Kasselman, P.A. since June 2012, representing criminal defendants in Superior and Municipal Courts in Northern New Jersey. Prior to this role, Fred Schwanwede worked for 31 years at the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office, holding various positions including Assistant Prosecutor, Chief of Sex Crimes and Child Abuse, Chief of Special Investigations, Chief of the Bergen County Narcotics Task Force, and First Assistant Prosecutor. This extensive experience encompasses a wide range of criminal cases as outlined in the Code of Criminal Justice, including sex crimes, white collar fraud, major narcotics conspiracies, and homicide. Fred Schwanwede holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Rutgers Law School and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science and Government from Fordham University.
