Steven Estvold has a diverse work experience spanning from 2004 to the present. Steven began their career in the US Navy, serving as a Nuclear Power School Instructor from July 2004 to May 2007. Steven then transitioned to the position of Assistant Director of the Officer Department, overseeing day-to-day operations for a 40-member staff and 300 student Officer Department, from May 2007 to May 2008. Following that, they served as a Student Naval Aviator, demonstrating knowledge of engineering systems and emergency procedures for T-45C Goshawk and T-34C Turbo Mentor aircraft, accumulating over 150 flight hours with experience in precision aerobatics, radio instruments, and formation flying, from May 2008 to June 2010.
In 2010, Steven joined Helmerich & Payne, where they have held several roles. Steven began as an Engineer In Training from September 2010 to January 2012. Steven then worked as a Drilling Engineer, responsible for drilling operations, from January 2012 to October 2013. From October 2013 to October 2014, they served as a Drilling Superintendent.
Steven's next role at the company was District Manager, overseeing operations in a specific district, from October 2014 to April 2016. Steven then transitioned to the role of Continuous Improvement Manager, focusing on implementing and managing process improvement initiatives, from April 2016 to August 2019. Steven'ssubsequent role was Integration Manager, responsible for coordinating integration efforts for the company, from August 2019 to June 2020.
Steven'scurrent position at Helmerich & Payne is Director, Digital Operations, a role they have held since June 2020.
Steven Estvold obtained a B.S. in Physics, Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering from North Dakota State University in the years 1999 to 2004. Steven is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General at MIT Sloan School of Management, which is expected to be completed between 2021 and 2023.
