Henry Apfel

Henry Apfel, CTC, has extensive experience in the travel and meetings industry, currently serving as Director of Global Accounts at Helmsbriscoe since July 2009, where responsibilities include researching and negotiating contracts with hotels globally. Prior to Helmsbriscoe, Henry held the position of President at Diversified Meeting & Travel Consultants for six months, specializing in both on-site and virtual planning for corporate clients to manage travel expenses effectively. From 1987 to November 2008, Henry served as Senior Manager of Travel Services at Metavante Banking Solutions, overseeing an official travel operation and leading its transition to a Corporate Travel Department. Earlier in Henry's career, a role as General Manager at Travel Bureau of Sacramento involved significant agency growth through acquisitions and automation improvements. Henry holds a Bachelor of Science degree in History from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas (1965-1971).
