Aakanksha Chopra is an accomplished manager with extensive experience in corporate fundraising and marketing. Since August 2016, Aakanksha has been leading the Corporate Fund Raising team at HelpAge India, one of the largest NGOs in the country, focusing on developing relationships with senior leadership in private and public sector organizations. Prior to this role, Aakanksha served as a Marketing Advisor at David Jones, managing local advertising campaigns in the Beauty & Fashion Department. Additional experience includes a position as Marketing & Communications Manager at Meetisan, where Aakanksha contributed to product development and strategic planning for a mobile app launch, and as a Sales Executive at The Marc Edward Agency Pty Ltd, working with luxury retail brands. Aakanksha holds a Research Doctorate in Marketing from Harvard University and a Master's degree in Commerce (Marketing) from UNSW, along with a Master's in Professional Accounting from Holmes Institute.

HelpAge India is secular, not-for-profit organization registered under the Societies' Registration Act of 1860. We were set up in 1978, and since then have been raising resources to protect the rights of India's elderly and provide relief to them through various interventions. We voice the needs of India's 100 million+ "grey" population, and directly impact the lives of many elders through our services each year. We advocate with national & local government to bring about policy that is beneficial to the elderly. We make society aware of the concerns of the aged and promote better understanding of ageing issues. We help the elderly become aware of their own rights so that they get their due and are able to play an active role in society.
