Helping Hand
Emili Mikolajczyk is an experienced Occupational Therapist currently working at Helping Hand since February 2023. With a strong background in recreational programming, Emili has been a Program Leader at the Northern Will County Special Recreation Association since May 2018, also serving as a Special Olympics coach. Emili has completed multiple fieldwork rotations in diverse settings, including a Level 2B rotation at Naperville Community Unit School District 203 and Level 2 rotations at Synapse House and Catholic Charities, focusing on post-stroke and TBI clients as well as pediatrics. Helping Hand is a non-profit organization serving over 600 children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in suburban Cook County and greater Chicagoland communities since 1955. We offer a wide range of person-centered programs and services that enhance the educational, therapeutic, residential, and employment opportunities for those we serve. Our programs and services include a school, progressive employment programs that promote inclusive workplaces, pediatric therapies (occupational and speech/language), high school transition services, Community Living (CILA), and specialized programs with high team member-to-client ratios for seniors with disabilities.
